July 12 • HIDING IN THEE • William O. Cushing, 1823–1902 • But the Lord has become my fortress, and my God the rock in whom I take refuge. (Psalm 94:22) • In childhood when we were frightened we wanted to run and hide in our mother’s or father’s arms until we felt the danger had passed. In the same way when trouble and sorrow disturb our adult lives, we look for a place of consolation or escape. But we can only …

The Christian’s Secret of a Holy Life
The Secret of Guidance • July 12 • There must be a complete submission of your will to God, that where He leads you’ll follow; and then you must leave it altogether to Him and don’t worry about it. If the thought comes that you ought to speak or to pray, say at once, “Yes, Lord, I will; only give me something to say if I must speak, and, if I must not, let me forget all about it.” • Don’t indulge in …

Go To Morning Reading Evening, July 12 • “His heavenly kingdom.” • — 2 Timothy 4:18 • Yonder city of the great King is a place of active service. Ransomed spirits serve him day and night in his temple. They never cease to fulfil the good pleasure of their King. They always “rest,” so far as ease and freedom from care is concerned; and never “rest,” in the sense of indolence or inactivity. Jerusalem the golden is the place of communion with all …

• July 12th • The spiritual society • Till we all come . . . unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ. Eph. 4:13. • Rehabilitation means the putting back of the whole human race into the relationship God designed it to be in, and this is what Jesus Christ did in Redemption. The Church ceases to be a spiritual society when it is on the look-out for the development of its own organization. The rehabilitation of the human race on …

July 12 • Awake, O north wind; and come, thou south; blow upon my garden, that the spices thereof may flow out • Song of Sol. 4:16 • Sometimes God sends severe blasts of trial upon His children to develop their graces. Just as torches burn most brightly when swung violently to and fro; just as the juniper plant smells sweetest when flung into the flames; so the richest qualities of a Christian often come out under the north wind of suffering …

June 21 • MY FAITH HAS FOUND A RESTING PLACE • Lidie H. Edmunds, 19th century • I know whom I have believed, and am convinced that He is able to guard what I have entrusted to Him for that day. (2 Timothy 1:12) • Saving faith is much more than a commitment to a creed, church, or a doctrinal system. It must be a commitment to a person—Jesus Christ. Doctrinal statements and creeds are important in defining and delineating truth, but …
The Christian’s Secret of a Holy Life
Confidence in Christ and Confession • June 21 • That your prayers may be availing, dear boy, keep your own heart with all diligence. Keep it, that is, by abandoning it to the care and keeping of the Lord. I am so thankful you are finding the rest of faith. This can only come from a childlike confidence in Jesus, which clings to His word, and does not give heed to any doubt. Of course He will save you! This is just …

Go To Morning Reading Evening, June 21 • “The foundation of God standeth sure.” • — 2 Timothy 2:19 • The foundation upon which our faith rests is this, that “God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them.” The great fact on which genuine faith relies is, that “the Word was made flesh and dwelt among us,” and that “Christ also hath suffered for sin, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to …

• IN THE GARDEN • C. Austin Miles, 1868–1945 • Mary Magdalene went to the disciples with the news: “I have seen the Lord!” And she told them that He had said these things to her. (John 20:18) •

• I am suffering under a great temptation, one which never before has assaulted me since I was a child of God. It is to fearful unbelief—to doubt the reality of anything divine; to doubt the reality of any religious experience; to doubt almost the existence of any God. But oh! my Jesus keep me! Keep me Lord, keep me!

• “A bundle of myrrh is my well-beloved unto me.” • — Song of Solomon 1:13 • Myrrh may well be chosen as the type of Jesus on account of its preciousness, its perfume, its pleasantness, its healing, preserving, disinfecting qualities, and its connection with sacrifice. But why is he compared to “a bundle of myrrh”? First, for plenty. He is not a drop of it, he is a casket full.

•• What to do under the conditions • Cast thy burden upon the Lord. Psalm 55:22. • We must distinguish between the burden-bearing that is right and the burden-bearing that is wrong. We ought never to bear the burden of sin or of doubt, but there are burdens placed on us by God which He does not intend to lift off, He wants us to roll them back on Him. “Cast that He hath given thee upon the Lord.”

• God … hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ • 2 Cor. 4:6 • Christian! rest not until thou knowest the full, the unbroken shining, of God in thy heart. To this end, yield to every stirring of it that shows thee some unconquered and perhaps unconquerable evil.

Well, in my carrer as christian follower, i faced many circumstances. I had great revelations and saw the hands of GOD. But others did not believe in that message of prophecy. Facts happened and my strength was the LORD. He is my salvation, and a good taste and smell to run after, like the myrr, i put on the burning altar chalice in lithurgical prayer. I cast my burdens unto the LORD, and HE let´s HIS light shine in my heart ! PRAISE GOD!

Celtic Christian PHILOSOPHY and daily devotions by ArchBishop ROSENKRANZ

another one (DO U WANNA NUMBER NINE?)•

WOUNDED FOR ME • W. G. Ovens, 1870–1945 (verse 1) • Gladys W. Roberts, 1888–? (verses 2-5) • To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in His steps. (1 Peter 2:21) • Death by crucifixion was one of the worst forms of dying. No Roman citizen was ever crucified; this horrible death was reserved only for Rome’s enemies.

• I hope that you are able to abide in Christ by faith and to know in yourself experientially the fulfillment of the promises concerning those who abide. It seems so simple to me now that I am amazed that every Christian does not see the blazing truth. How can they live for a moment outside of Him?

• “For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.” • — 2 Corinthians 5:21 • Mourning Christian! why weepest thou? Art thou mourning over thine own corruptions? Look to thy perfect Lord, and remember, thou art complete in him; thou art in God’s sight as perfect as if thou hadst never sinned;…

• Those borders of distrust • Behold, the hour cometh, . . . that ye shall be scattered. John 16:32. • Jesus is not rebuking the disciples, their faith was real, but it was disturbed; it was not at work in actual things. The disciples were scattered to their own interests, alive to interests that never were in Jesus Christ. After we have been perfectly related to God in sanctification, our faith has to be worked out in actualities.

• All the land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed forever • Gen. 13:15 • God’s promises are ever on the ascending scale. One leads up to another, fuller and more blessed than itself. In Mesopotamia God said, “I will show thee the land.” At Bethel, “This is the land.” Here, “and I will give thee all the land, and children innumerable as the grains of sand.”

Temptations and how to deal with it.

• IN THE HOUR OF TRIAL • James Montgomery, 1771–1854 • No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can stand up to it. (1 Corinthians 10:13) • Crisis situations are often the important pivotal points in our lives.

• It is unspeakably blessed to know myself “dead to sin,” and “alive in Christ.” It is such a wondrous amazing blessing, that if God had not declared it I would not dare to dream of it. But oh, praise His Name! He has said it; He has declared that for this very purpose Christ died, that I being “dead to sins might live unto righteousness,” and taking my place at the foot of the Cross..

• “He answered him to never a word.” • — Matthew 27:14 • He had never been slow of speech when he could bless the sons of men, but he would not say a single word for himself. “Never man spake like this man,” and never man was silent like him. Was this singular silence the index of his perfect self- sacrifice?

• The glory that excels • The Lord . . . hath sent me that thou mightest receive thy sight. Acts 9:17. • When Paul received his sight he received spiritually an insight into the Person of Jesus Christ, and the whole of his subsequent life and preaching was nothing but Jesus Christ—“I determined not to know anything among you, save Jesus Christ, and Him crucified.”

• The Lord God formed man out of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul • Gen. 2:7 • And so this soul of mine is a compound of two worlds—dust and Deity! It touches the boundary line of two hemispheres. It is allied on one side to the divine; on the other, to the beast of the field.

In my first studies and research i fell into temptation to do magic. I repented and laid down my old live at the cross. Then i preached and teached and studied JESUS alone and kept silence above evil wisdom. The  i wrote a book, covering my theological insights. The „Proof of GOD“ was it´s most blessing, but ebenso dangerous parts.

One doctor, who wrote the pre-word, warned me, not to depend on old magic research, bound to the ground. So i did, but then GOD spoke to me to publish a Philosophy for celtic cultur zone.

In these days before PESSACH, i start a video series, speaking the secrets of my theological and philosophical workmanship and crafts to greater audiance. MAY THE LORD GUIDE MY TONGUE AND THE eyes and ears of MY DEAR RESPECTED AUDITORY!-SALVE`!

• WHEN WE ALL GET TO HEAVEN • Eliza E. Hewitt, 1851–1920 • After that, we who are still alive and are left will be caught up with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore encourage each other with these words. (1 Thessalonians 4:17, 18) • For the child of God, the end of this earthly pilgrimage is just the beginning of a glorious new life. •…

• What you say about being as it were, “within Christ,” is a most blessed experience, and, in measure, I do realize it continually. But oh, I feel that there are heights and depths of love which I have not yet seen that will swallow me up in unspeakable joy. How are we to get into Christ except by faith? How can we abide in Him except by believing?

• “I called him, but he gave me no answer.” • — Song of Solomon 5:6 • Prayer sometimes tarrieth, like a petitioner at the gate, until the King cometh forth to fill her bosom with the blessings which she seeketh. The Lord, when he hath given great faith, has been known to try it by long delayings. He has suffered his servants’ voices to echo in their ears as from a brazen sky.

Our Lord’s surprise visits • Be ye therefore ready also. Luke 12:40. • The great need for the Christian worker is to be ready to face Jesus Christ at any and every turn. This is not easy, no matter what our experience is. The battle is not against sin or difficulties or circumstances, but against being so absorbed in work that we are not ready to face Jesus Christ at every turn.

• The path of the just is as the shining light, that shineth more and more unto the perfect day • Prov. 4:18 • Have I begun this path of heavenly love and knowledge now? Am I progressing in it? Do I feel some dawnings of the heavenly light, earnests and antepasts of the full day of glory? Let all God’s dealings serve to quicken me in my way.

WHEN THE ROLL IS CALLED UP YONDER • Words and Music by James M. Black, 1856–1938 • For the Lord Himself will come down from heaven, with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. (1 Thessalonians 4:15) • The calm assurance of a future heavenly home is one of the greatest blessings for every Christian.

• Today I have been looking up texts for our Bible class tomorrow might. The subject in order in the Book of Discipline is “Reading the Scriptures,” and it seemed to me the right way to look at it was to consider first the duty of the Christian to search the Scriptures and to know and understand what the will of God is.

• “The love of Christ which passeth knowledge.” • — Ephesians 3:19 • The love of Christ in its sweetness, its fulness, its greatness, its faithfulness, passeth all human comprehension. Where shall language be found which shall describe his matchless, his unparalleled love towards the children of men? It is so vast and boundless that, as the swallow but skimmeth the water, and diveth not into its depths, so all descriptive words but touch the surface,

• Isn’t there some misunderstanding? • Let us go into Judea. His disciples say unto Him . . . Goest Thou thither again? John 11:7-8. • I may not understand what Jesus Christ says, but it is dangerous to say that therefore He was mistaken in what He said. It is never right to think that my obedience to a word of God will bring dishonour to Jesus. The only thing that will bring dishonour is not obeying Him.

• God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness • Gen. 1:4 • No sooner is there a good thing in the world than a division is necessary. Light and darkness have no communion; God has divided them, let us not confound them. Sons of light must not have fellowship with deeds, doctrines, or deceits of darkness. The children of the day must be sober, honest, and bold in their Lord’s work,

A Handbook on the Book of Jonah

This set of detailed commentaries provides valuable exegetical, historical, cultural, and linguistic information on the original text.Over the years this series has been instrumental in shedding light on the Scriptures so that translators all over the world could complete the important task of putting God’s Word into the many languages spoken in the world today.

Over the years church leaders and Bible readers have found the UBS Handbooks to be useful for their own study, since many of the issues Bible translators must address when trying to communicate the Bible’s message to modern readers are the ones Bible students must address when approaching the Bible text as a part of their own private study and devotions.

Heart, Liver a Gall of the Fish- exegesis of TOBIT, Chapter 6 ff.

Tobias with the Angel Raphael, by Pietro Perug...

Tobias with the Angel Raphael, by Pietro Perugino (Tobias holds the fish, Raphael the box of ointment) (Photo credit: Wikipedia)

TOBIT chapter 6:

1 And as they went on their journey, they came in the evening to the river Tigris, and they lodged there. 2 And when the young man went down to wash himself, a fish leaped out of the river, and would have devoured him. 3 Then the angel said unto him, Take the fish. And the young man laid hold of the fish, and drew it to land. 4 To whom the angel said, Open the fish, and take the heart and the liver and the gall, and put them up safely. 5 So the young man did as the angel commanded him; and when they had roasted the fish, they did eat it: then they both went on their way, till they drew near to Ecbatane. 6 Then the young man said to the angel, Brother Azarias, to what use is the heart and the liver and the gall of the fish? 7 And he said unto him, Touching the heart and the liver, if a devil or an evil spirit trouble any, we must make a smoke thereof before the man or the woman, and the party shall be no more vexed. 8 As for the gall, it is good to anoint a man that hath whiteness in his eyes, and he shall be healed.
9 And when they were come near to Rages, 10 The angel said to the young man, Brother, to day we shall lodge with Raguel, who is thy cousin; he also hath one only daughter, named Sara; I will speak for her, that she may be given thee for a wife. 11 For to thee doth the right of her appertain, seeing thou only art of her kindred. 12 And the maid is fair and wise: now therefore hear me, and I will speak to her father; and when we return from Rages we will celebrate the marriage: for I know that Raguel cannot marry her to another according to the law of Moses, but he shall be guilty of death, because the right of inheritance doth rather appertain to thee than to any other.
13 Then the young man answered the angel, I have heard, brother Azarias, that this maid hath been given to seven men, who all died in the marriage chamber. 14 And now I am the only son of my father, and I am afraid, lest, if I go in unto her, I die, as the other before: for a wicked spirit loveth her, which hurteth no body, but those which come unto her: wherefore I also fear lest I die, and bring my father’s and my mother’s life because of me to the grave with sorrow: for they have no other son to bury them.
15 Then the angel said unto him, Dost thou not remember the precepts which thy father gave thee, that thou shouldest marry a wife of thine own kindred? wherefore hear me, O my brother; for she shall be given thee to wife; and make thou no reckoning of the evil spirit; for this same night shall she be given thee in marriage. 16 And when thou shalt come into the marriage chamber, thou shalt take the ashes of perfume, and shalt lay upon them some of the heart and liver of the fish, and shalt make a smoke with it: 17 And the devil shall smell it, and flee away, and never come again any more: but when thou shalt come to her, rise up both of you, and pray to God which is merciful, who will have pity on you, and save you: fear not, for she is appointed unto thee from the beginning; and thou shalt preserve her, and she shall go with thee. Moreover I suppose that she shall bear thee children.  Now when Tobias had heard these things, he loved her, and his heart was effectually joined to he
The Apocrypha : King James Version. Bellingham WA : Logos Research Systems, Inc., 1995, S. Tob 6,1-17
This word i heard by dear Rev. Anselm Gruen, Franciscan monch and business coach. When he finished, he prayed that an angel of the LORD would e coming on the audiance. I saw a lightning flash in the air and an angel come upon me.
Since that time, i find, that parts of the apocryph texts of TOBIT are comig truely realized in my life!-
I prayed for evil spirits to go out- and they had to flee. I prayed that my father should see again- ok. he had a laser eye operation on Grey Star and could see again.
My Family and one aunt gave their silver to me and my wife.
Now i see that the angel RaffaÈl is guiding my life and my ways.
This angel said in ff. chapter: „The secrets of the King shalll be kept in silence, but the wonders of the LORD shall be published.“-
So shall it be to the GLORY of the LORD!
What is the heart and liver of the fish foreshadowing, what is it´s symbolism, that we may use in our time and culture?-
I think, the Fish is the body of christ, the church.
In Chapter 6 of TOBIT a Big Fish jumped out of the river tigris and snapped to bite off the foot. -Sometimes the Body of Christ trys to rip our feet, like Jesus Christ, who has the fish as a symbol has been crucified with a long nail in his feet. So, places and houses and chapters and local churches can hold back the steps of a man because of a women. Tobit was forced by his elders in law to keep ong time of marriage, so that his own elders thought he was already dead. His wife Sara tried to marry 7 men before, but they all have died in the night of marriage celebration in the Honey Moon Chamber. Oh, not a very good party, was it?-
However, this was just a test, a challange for Tobias. He should trust in the angel and trust in GOD. In this incredible story, Tobias caught the fish and took the heart and liver out of the body and the gall as well, as the angel told him to do. He explained to him, that it shall be medicine. The Heart and liver shall be burnt at the perfume ashes, a traier to burn incence to the Glory of GOD. When the evil spirits, that made the earlier husbands of Sara victims (because Sara in former days prayed that she should dy), should smell teh burning sacrifice of the heart and liver of the fish, that bad devil should flee. And it did so and went to Egypt.
OK. there are evil spirits over nations, that hinder the people of Israel to marry and get children. Tobit was from Ninive in Assyria/Persia, while Sara was from the mountain tribes in Media, but of the same family like Tobit and Tobias, from Ephrai´m and Manasse.
When the blessing of Joseph turned to death curse, the heart and liver of the body of christ can turn the curse into blessing again. The burning sacrifice of the body of  christ can work like a medicine. So does the gall to open the eyes of the fathers.
Catholic church in martyr times when the passion of Jeshuah Ha Maschich is remembered, reminds of the 7 martyrdoms of christ. He took Gall mixed with vine, and then he died at the cross. When he was dead, the leader of the Italian guard took a spear and choke it into the body of christ Jesus. He hit his side and split the liver and the heart. So water and blood came out of the wounds and have been poured out to the ground. This sacrifice of pierced hear and liver shall be an everlasting offer to forgive the sins of his people and give new life and cleanse them. Every curse is broken at the cross.

don´t carry a worldly, heavy joke- but a light, heavenly joke.

• Do ye now believe? • By this we believe . . . Jesus answered, Do ye now believe? John 16:30-31. • ‘Now we believe.’ Jesus says—‘Do you? The time is coming when you will leave Me alone.’ Many a Christian worker has left Jesus Christ alone and gone into work from a sense of duty, or from a sense of need arising out of his own particular discernment. The reason for this is the absence of the resurrection life.

There are several denominations and colours of believing in CHRIST, MESSIAH, JESHUAH , JESUS, MAHATMA, METREYAH, just to call upon few. But there is only one BODY, one corpus and one unifying odeur of belief, the CREDO like it is used in the ROSARY PRAYER CHAIN.

This is our fundamentum in Christum Jesum.

As co-workers we invite You kindly to pray with us on this blog and/or meet us in private prayer and meditation room. You can evenso get Your own labelling room with Arch-Bishop ROSARY by clicking on the link.
