„What does it gain, if somebody wins the whole world but looses or forfaits his own soul?

Horatius Bonar

Horatius Bonar

 • I HEARD THE VOICE OF JESUS SAY • Horatius Bonar, 1808–1889 • Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the water; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without cost. (Isaiah 55:1) • Thy grace first made me feel my sin; it taught me to believe. Then in believing, I found—and now I live, I live! • —Horatius Bonar • …
I consequently learned that the one important thing was to have the Lord possess the center and at the center He would possess all the rest and would guard and protect it all Himself. And I saw that the way to get Him to set up His throne in the center was simply to accept by faith that His precious blood did really did cleanse my heart from all corruption, and make it pure …
 • “We love him because he first loved us.” • — 1 John 4:19 • There is no light in the planet but that which proceedeth from the sun; and there is no true love to Jesus in the heart but that which cometh from the Lord Jesus himself. From this overflowing fountain of the infinite love of God, all our love to God must spring. This must ever be a great and certain truth, that …
 • Getting there • Where the sin and the sorrow cease, and the song and the saint commence. Come unto Me. Matthew 11:28. • Do I want to get there? I can now. The questions that matter in life are remarkably few, and they are all answered by the words— “Come unto Me.” Not—‘Do this, or don’t do that’; but —“Come unto Me.” If I will come to Jesus my actual life will be brought into accordance with …
 • Jesus constrained his disciples to get into a ship • Matt. 14:22 • Jesus constrained them to go! One would think that if ever there was the certain promise of success in a mission, it was here. Surely, here, if anywhere, a triumphant issue might have been confidently predicted; and yet here, more than anywhere, there was seeming failure. He sent them out on a voyage, and they met such a storm as they had never yet experienced.

When JESUS lives in our house and in the temple of our body, HE will let streams of living water flow. People who are thirsty are invited to come and drink freely. The Sacrifice of HOLY SUPPER is given to those, who cleansed their soul by the forgiving of the Redeemer. Through HIS blood and HIS Body we are unified to the universal church of Christ. Everyone who is outside the BOAT, like sinking walkers on the water will recieve a secure and save anchor. JESUS is the real Anchorman!- HE is allways calling YOU: COME! Come to ME!

LOVE of GOD- we are HIS children!

John MacArthur on Calvin's Pulpit

• IT’S JUST LIKE HIS GREAT LOVE • Edna R. Worrell, 19th century • How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! (1 John 3:1) • The greatest demonstration of love is God’s gift of Jesus Christ to a lost world. It is impossible to comprehend fully this divine love; it can only be learned experientially.
